Cape Reinga

Cape Reinga is the most northerly accessible point of New Zealand. It is a sacred site for Maori and the point where the Tasman Sea and the Pacific Ocean meet.

A short path from the car park leads to the lighthouse. There are stunning views from here. Several dramatic walks radiate from the car park through shrub, sand and dunes.

We can arrange for The Dune Rider to pick up guests from the hostel for Cape Reinga and Ninety Mile Beach tours.
