Our History

Kahoe Farms Hostel has been running since 1991. The hostel is a Californian bungalow, built by Lyndsey’s grandfather in the 1920’s. Her Swedish great grandfather came into the district in the 1870’s when he built the original family homestead, a treasured colonial villa.

Kahoe Farms is approximately 1,000 acres (400 hectares). It is a working beef farm with up to 600 head of cattle at any one time. There are also breeding cows, goats and sheep.
